What should I expect during primary care visits?

Primary care appointments consist of a medical history review, weigh-in, vital signs check, and physical exam. Your provider evaluates your eyes, ears, throat, breathing, reflexes, heartbeat, and more to evaluate your overall health and screen for potential problems. Pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap tests are available to women, and prostate exams to men.

The NewMed Immediate Care team offers on-site lab work, imaging, lung function testing, heart function tests, and other diagnostic tests to detect or rule out specific health concerns.

If you need treatment, the NewMed Immediate Care experts personalize a plan that may include healthy lifestyle changes, injury care, medication management, or a combination of treatments. They also provide paperwork for completed DOT, sports, work, and school physicals.
